Please Note: This is a Minnesota-based job, and we will only consider Twin Cities candidates at this time. This role will occur from three locations: the owner's office, the owner's personal home, and some work from home.

Martha O'Hara Interiors is seeking a part-time Personal Assistant for our company's founder and owner. We anticipate three 4-hr days per week with some additional as-needed flexibility. While we would like a set schedule, we also need the person in this role to have some flexibility when calendars shift or events fall outside of the usual schedule.

You are the go-to person for our owner and founder. You ensure that her calendar is accurate, her to-dos are prioritized, and that the distractions of everyday life are handled. Just as important, you serve the liaison between our team and owner when she is traveling or unavailable.

Summary of Essential Job Functions:

  • Make travel arrangements, personal appointments, and reservations
  • Provide daily schedule of appointments meetings and phone calls
  • Plan logistics for special events – birthdays, holidays, meetings, etc.
  • Handle personal IT issues that arise
  • Complete and file documents
  • Coordinate with contractors or other third-party vendors to household
  • Attend to ad hoc personal tasks such as shopping, errands, etc.
  • Track expenses; upload receipts
  • Coordinate work-related matters with business team
  • Handle all requests and queries appropriately, professionally, and with discretion

Requirements:

  • Work experience as a personal assistant
  • Proactive communication style
  • Ability to handle household/property maintenance
  • Comfort with basic daily IT needs
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The part-time Personal Assistant position requires a strong inclination toward being hands-on, tackling daily problems as they arise, and keeping the day on track for our owner. Even better is if that is paired with an affable personality and a penchant for being helpful and supportive. We are looking for someone who takes ownership over their responsibilities but who will take strong direction from our owner. This person should naturally look for where they can be the most helpful with a keen understanding of business and personal priorities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
