Plumber/General Maintenance (Residential) - M to F 8a-5p - Tampa/Lakeland
Job description
Position Summary
The incumbent in this position is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of plumbing fixtures, water circulation, irrigation systems and accessories on the STOF Housing residential facilities of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The work involves the application of standard trade practices in maintaining and installing a variety of plumbing systems and fixtures. The individual is responsible for determining the materials and work methods that will be used. Assignments come in oral and written form, sometimes accompanied by sketches, from a superior plumber or similar technical superior. Work is inspected during process and upon completion for workmanship, compliance with instructions and specifications, and for adherence to regulatory codes.
Qualifications / Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required. Licensed Plumber is preferred. Some vocational training or job-related coursework, or, completion of an instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical plumbing knowledge and skills is preferred. A minimum of (2) two years of experience as a skilled plumber directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein; or any equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License and must be able to travel to all STOF Reservations and other locations as necessary.

This position is based in and around the neighboring cities of the Tampa Reservation located at 6401 Harney Road Tampa, FL 33610 and often covers our new community out in Lakeland which is at 9523 Moore Rd, Lakeland, Florida 33809.
