Starting Hourly Rate: $37.59 ($26.60 per hour Base Pay- plus $4.25 Premium, plus $5.74 living wage, plus $1 Line Pay.)
Key Responsibilities:
As a Plumber you will work in a fast-paced San Francisco Maintenance Operations Center, the Plumber plays a very important role in providing quality service to our internal customers. Under the direction of the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, or the Lead Plumber, the Plumber will be responsible for repair and maintenance of all plumbing and steam systems within the maintenance base and its related buildings, including:
- Ability to perform general plumbing maintenance and installation
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing problems, snake and unclog lines and commodes, install new plumbing fixtures, work on hot water circulating pumps as well as perform preventative maintenance as needed
- Plumbers must be able to work around the clock shifts, including weekends and holidays, in the outdoors in all weather conditions
- Schedules are bid and awarded according to seniority
- Plumbers are represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT)
- Salary increases will be administered according to the current IBT/United contract
- New employees are required to join the union within ninety (90) days of employment
- There is an initiation fee for joining the union and subsequent monthly union dues

What’s needed to succeed:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Twelve months’ experience required as a Plumber operator
- Must be familiar with, and understand the Universal Plumbing Code (UPC)
- Valid US driver's license (revoked, suspended, or expired are not considered valid)
- Must pass a 10-year background check
- Must be willing to take a pre-placement physical abilities' test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
- Candidate must be able to clear a fingerprint-based criminal history check in order to acquire and retain credentials vital for the position
- Position-specific clearances may include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal service clearances required
