Job Summary:

Major purpose of the job is to optimize productivity and sustainability of EV battery production through high level of technical knowledge. This requires defect reduction activity; critical thinking; coming up with improvement action item through product analysis; and managing short/long term project. Candidates will have chances to work cooperatively with HQ/customer/supplier/vendor.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze Productivity, Yield and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of assigned process and department
• Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot the machines on the production floor to ensure highest yield and OEE
• Understand quality issues, review non-conformance reports (NCRs), analyze quality issues and provide corrective actions
• Improve production processes by creating various SOPs and train operators to ensure understanding and correct implementation to floor
• Maintain communication between department co-workers and manage production flow from one process to the next
• Prepare and participate daily/weekly/monthly meetings with other teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent experience
• Working knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
• Strong technical knowledge and ability in process engineering disciplines
• Proficient in Excel/application of statistical knowledge
• Ability to be on stand or sit for long periods of time
• Use of hands and fingers to perform job function
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
