At Specialty Produce we offer our associates the opportunity to grow personally and professionally, to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

This position will directly interact with our customers by delivering product to their restaurants (timely and accurately) ensuring they are happy with their product , answer any questions they may have or help direct them to someone in our offices that can assist.

General Accountabilities:

• Prepares vehicle for operation by inspecting general condition; if there are any issues report to management immediately
• Loads produce into trucks
• Reviews orders and ensures they are accurate and that the quality is up to company standards
• Delivers items to customers ensuring the are following company policies and procedures always.
• Reviewing orders and adjusting orders (as needed)
• Maintains cleanliness of company delivery vehicles by following the procedure set forth by the organization
• Follows all driver safety laws to ensure you are keeping yourself and the company property safe
• Maintains a good repour with customers always
• Assists customers with any questions/ concerns with their orders

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years of related experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• CA Class B driver’s license (preferred)
• Flexible schedule (e.g. able to work overtime, weekends, etc.)
• Familiar with San Diego County (preferred)
• Must have a flexible schedule as the schedule for this position varies from week to week

• Mathematical Skills/Ability-Basic math skills (e.g. counting, subtracting, multiplying, etc.)
• Product knowledge-Learns and keeps up to date on company product
• Customer Service Skills- Can communicate information effectively with customers with little to no issues

Physical Demands:

• Pushing and Pulling (50lbs +)
• Standing 8 hrs. or more
• Walking 8 hrs. or more
• Bending, Stooping, Kneeling 8 hrs. or more
• Repetitive hand/arm movements 8hrs. or more (e.g. pulling, pushing, lifting, etc.)
• Must be able to see, hear and talk to perform this job effectively and safely
• Frequent maneuvering in and out of vehicle 8 hrs. or more
