The Production Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end project management and production for direct import, POE and warehouse orders, for key clients, such as, Costco, Bed Bath and Beyond, Burlington, Macys, Kohls, etc. ?and including prestigious brands like Ralph Lauren, Chaps, Ellen DeGeneres, Kate Spade, Martha Stewart, Kitchen Aid, Brookstone etc. If you have a strong operational foundation and production expertise to execute orders from allocation through shipping, in partnership with cross-functional teams are highly organized, possess superior problem-solving and communication skills, have excellent relationship building skills and are results oriented with a strong sense of urgency we would love to speak with you.


Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to


Oversee the production process from order allocation (timeline confirmation) through shipping:

  • For direct import/POE orders – to forwarder at port of export
  • For warehouse orders – to receipt in warehouse

Finalize delivery for each order in alignment with customer requested delivery:

  • Negotiate and finalize production schedule and delivery with agents.
  • If delivery does not align to customer request, partner with Sourcing team to create an order reallocation strategy.

Provide support and operational optimization in preproduction, execution and postproduction follow up:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners for resolution on daily issues.
  • Set clear expectations for follow ups required for deadlines or resolution, for both internal and external partners.
  • Project manage and lead weekly order status meetings (timeline meetings) to ensure that all cross-functional departments are on schedule with respective departmental deliverables.
  • Review open orders for - both customer and vendor - to ensure that all orders are shipping on time.
  • Vendor on order includes all rollouts and replenishment orders in Redhorse, measured by factory ship date
  • Customer on order include all direct import sales orders in Redhorse, measured by customer ship window
  • Liaise between agents and US cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and follow through for order execution and daily issues.
  • Support months end financial business close by ensuring all monthly customer orders have been shipped and invoiced.
  • Key contributor in process engineering and process refinement, as needed
  • Partner in the implementation of emerging business initiatives, as needed
  • Strong comprehension and use of business systems
  • Financial reporting, as needed
  • Point person for training and continual system support, as needed
Requirements:


  • Two plus years production and business operations experience in retail/wholesale textile or related industry, home textile wholesale experience a plus.
  • Exceptional creative problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Expert verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship building skills.
  • Results driven with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to navigate large cross-functional teams and large groups.
  • Experienced in working in ambiguity.
  • Skilled in business systems and Microsoft Office.
