Job description
SUMMARY
Responsible for communicating the purposes and philosophy of NFMC to the community-at-large, while increasing public awareness through multiple media, including print (brochures, announcements, newsletters, press releases, etc.) and electronic (TV, radio, Internet).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining public awareness objectives in alignment with organizational goals.
- Develops, designs, coordinates and refines brochures and educational materials for the purpose of increasing public awareness.
- Establishes and maintains positive relationship with local media. Plans effective use of media through press releases and participation in community activities for the purpose of increasing public awareness.
- Travel to service areas.
SCHEDULE / HOURS (typically):
- Monday - Friday, rarely weekends.
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, rare extended hours may be needed due to travel or event
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution with a degree in a related field such as marketing, journalism, communications, or English, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of public relations experience preferred.
