Inntopia is seeking a QA Engineer to work with high-performing, motivated, flexible Agile Scrum teams. You’ll be responsible for the creation, documentation, and execution of test plans and automated tests of Inntopia’s high availability, high transaction volume, PCI compliant e-Commerce applications. This will include hands-on testing as well as creation, support, maintenance, or enhancement of automated tests. You’ll be involved in the full project life cycle while working on an agile team to take requirements through design, development, QA, and implementation and you will work closely with engineers on your team to provide clear feedback on test results and to troubleshoot issues.

This is a remote position and is open to candidates based in the United States. We also have an office in Stowe and Burlington, Vermont for those who favor to be in an office.

Required Expertise

Candidate must have experience in at least two of the following:

• Develops thorough and complete test plans
• Develops testing methodologies to ensure release readiness
• Works as integral member of a scrum team to identify and resolve issues
• Builds automated test suites

Software Tools

Familiarity with at least 2 of the following development applications:

• Microsoft Visual Studio Test Professional or similar IDE for automated test development/management
• Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio or Toad
• MS Azure DevOps or similar task management, code build, and repository tools

Additional Beneficial Skills

• Automated test development
• Application design and development
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team
• Travel/hospitality industry experience
• Experience with high-volume transactional accounting systems (accounts receivable and accounts payable)
• Experience with security protocols (i.e. OWASP Top Ten, PCI Compliance, and data encryption standards)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to connect and build trust with team members in a remote environment
