Position Title: Quality Control Auditor

Reports To: Sandra Meredith, Quality Control Supervisor; Delores Haynes Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

Quality Control Auditors monitor the quality of LAT Apparel’s products and records and reports any related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Pull audit based on calculations. This requires the auditor to pull boxes off pallets. Requires Auditor to stand, squat, bending and lifting, requires Auditor to read the style and color they are pulling.
  • Inspect and Spec Garments uses tape measure down to 1/8” – Auditor can stand or sit.
  • Take out irregulars as found, this would be holes, skipped stitches, contamination, stains and needle holes.
  • Place a garment with attached sticker in the box to be read by DataColor Spectrometer and or Compare garment to approved shade on run card for items that do not get read such as stipes, dots, and camouflage – Auditor must walk to run card file cabinets bring run card to inspect table and return card to cabinet.
  • If garments require 100% cotton thread – Log into dye log and place in garment dye basket – Auditor must walk to log area at back of QC.
  • Auditors are required to lift boxes ranging in weight from 7 pounds to 45 pounds.
  • After audit is complete Auditor must put boxes back on release pallet or piece box pallet – Walk to pallet with cart and place boxes on pallet requires lifting, bending and squatting. Also requires auditor to be on warehouse floor with heavy equipment.
  • Forklifts and pallets jack are continuously moving in the area to prepare for truck deliveries and returns. Auditor must stay aware of safety practices.
  • Auditor is required to do 100% audit of failed goods. They will look at every piece to find defects, pull goods from pallet and return to pallet when completed.
  • Auditor is required to do all customer orders whether it is shade matching or looking for size issues. Auditor would put on belt to go to shipping when completed or on a pallet for truck orders.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Basic Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Auditing experience is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards
  • Able to read and write in English.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Diligent and punctual
  • Good physical strength and stamina

Compensation and Hours

This position starts at $13 an hour. The schedule is 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
