JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible to maintain product quality certification system to ensure that all products and services meet customer, company and regulatory standards to achieve superior quality and reliability levels with a high attention to detail. The core of this position involves working closely with Production, Quality Lab, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing, Vendors and Sub-Contractors to ensure testing is completed, product is compliant per internal/external requirements, prepare test data/reports and certifications, review specifications to recommend products and identify areas for quality control improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and/or RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Read and understand product runsheets/test results and customer/external specifications along with related internal/external test procedures to determine if a product could be recommended for use with management guidance.
· Ensure that all finished goods/products and purchased finished goods/products and services meet internal and external quality requirements through review of test data.
· Ensure timely certifications and specification reviews do not hinder production/material flow through facility or external customer timelines.
· Enter, prepare, maintain and update all necessary quality test data, reports and/or systems as required.
· Complete related paperwork/system inputs and communications when non-conforming product is identified to ensure no outflow to internal/external customers.
· Generate and issue certifications and test reports including re-print/re-issuance of certifications/test reports as necessary.
· Ensure quality documentation and product/sample testing is completed and retained based on internal standards and/or external certification standards and/or customer requirements.
· Maintain documented information in either hard or electronic copy consistent with document control system requirements.
· Identify and support continuous improvement activities. Assist with internal and external audits.
· Perform/support testing as requested for internal and external specifications including reviewing and interpreting test methods, managing samples and scheduling testing internally or with external labs.
· All other duties assigned by Nitto’s management team.
KEY DECISIONS/DIMENSIONS:
· Ability to evaluate test results against specification requirements to ensure only compliant product ships to customers.
· Ensure product test reports and certifications are accurate and complete.
· Provide product dispositions/recommendations based on test results vs. provided specifications/management guidance.
· Responsible to maintain quality performance indicators to ensure yearly goals are met.
MAJOR CHALLENGES:
· Respond to all product certification request in a timely manner to ensure product shipment/customer material usage is not delayed unnecessarily.
· Respond to all specification reviews in accordance with timelines dictated internally or externally.
· Read and comprehend technical specifications to compare with product capabilities to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.
· Meet demanding timelines and prioritize requests according to severity by utilizing time efficiently and effectively.
· Even-tempered manner to support high volume of daily requests.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
· High School Degree or GED Required
· 2 Years of Administrative Experience Preferred
· 2 Years of Experience in Technical, Quality and/or Manufacturing Preferred
· Customer Service Experience Preferred

· Possess effective communication skills (written and verbal), technical communication preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:
· Computer literate, required

· Work Environment
o Includes office, lab, warehouse and manufacturing depending on job demands.
§ May come into contact with or work with chemicals, sharp objects or equipment requiring different handling and levels of training/knowledge to ensure a safety first work environment is maintained.
§ Varying levels of personal protective equipment (PPE) required depending on job function, location and specific requirements.
o Noise level and scents (related to various chemicals, equipment, processes and testing) are usually moderate.
o Philosophy of 5S (Sort, Shine, Set-in-Place, Standardize and Sustain) applicable in all working areas.

Pay: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
