We are currently seeking a Recreational Therapist
The Recreational Therapist supervises and coordinates the activities of residents in the program to facilitate using art/music/other activities as a therapeutic modality for children/adolescents presenting with a variety of mental health issues/diagnoses. The Therapist follows policies, procedures, standards and objectives of their regulated area of expertise. The therapist will further support the mission of the organization through compliance with a performance improvement program and standard operating procedures. This position requires the development and conducting of an art or music therapy program based on evidence-based programming materials and best practices. The therapist will facilitate the learning of skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, to diminish or correct pathology, and to promote and maintain health.

Qualifications
Experience: One (1) year of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.
Licensure: Certification or licensure by state and/or national governing body in of the following areas: art, recreation, or music therapy, or the ability and qualifications to obtain licensure or certification within the first 6 months of employment.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification prior to employment and successful completion of HWC training within 90 days.
