National A&D - Rep Group Sales Manager
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced A&D Sales Leader who is looking to take their career and earnings to the next level. In this position, you will be paid a salary plus a commission. You will travel the United States to establish clients, develop relationships, and generate sales. The sky is the limit in this role!
Wall manufacturer Transwall Office Systems is looking for highly motivated, energetic, team member who is articulate, passionate, and a compelling presenter. Experience in working with the A&D community and selling within the commercial interiors space is required.
Responsibilities
You will identify A&D firms, end users and general contractors to drive long-term relationships in your assigned geographic markets of Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The contacts you will target include internal decision makers with identified end-user accounts, A&D principals, and architects. Rep group organizations will be established in six primary markets to assist in the sales and service of these markets.
- Your mission will be to create awareness and demand for the Transwall brand and products within the A&D and project owner community in order to drive sales through our distributor partners in six geographic markets.
- Generating specifications in your area that will be built and installed locally and nationally.
- Develop and consistently execute an account based strategic business plan for the identified target accounts of the specific market segments.
- Proactively collaborate with other local inside and outside team members to develop and hold project specifications and exceed service expectations to those customers.
- Effectively schedule and execute appropriate daily/weekly sales calls with project orientation mindset to provide viable solutions and value to the customer and drive sales revenues.
- Guide specifications by providing appropriate product expertise.
Skills and Requirements
- Ability to develop and nurture existing and new relationships (both in person and online)
- Ability to gain the trust of customers and colleagues through competence and reliability
- Strong presentation skills, allied with a questioning-based approach to elicit important project-based information
- Understanding of the specification process and where we can influence it
- Possess passion for your work
- Tenacious and results orientated
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail
- Have high ethical standards and values
- Ability to work individually and as a strong team member
- Ability to travel extensively
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience and success working as a Specification Representative or in a very similar creative customer facing role
- 5+ years in Specification Sales
- Demonstrated ability to learn technical products, their benefits, and specify them
