Job description

The Sales Associate at The UPS Store is responsible for providing excellent customer service. Candidates must be very friendly and willing to go the extra mile to help customers. A positive attitude is a strong requirement. Candidates must be willing to grow and retain the customer base. A strong work ethic and ability to quickly learn is required. Basic math skills and a willingness to learn are required.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include:

• Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service
• Pack and ship packages of various types (e.g. picture frames, clothing, fragile items, etc.)
• Ability to learn and handle a multitude of printers and print jobs
• Clean the store when needed (e.g. take out trash, vacuum, organize inventory, etc.)
• Balance cash registers
• Multitasking is an integral part of the job
• Take initiative to complete additional tasks as needed

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma (or in progress) or College degree
• 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Able to work on at least 2-3 Saturdays per month
• Able to stand on their feet during the work day
• Previous customer service / sales experience strongly preferred
