Accompany Doctor to Nursing Home visits and Scribe
Under the direction of the provider, contributes to the completion of a comprehensive assessment and documentation of patient/family needs. Identifies significant changes in patient condition through data collection and reports them to the provider. Understands and adheres to the legal responsibilities and requirements within the medical assistant role.
Demonstrate high level of competency in specific field of medicine (ex: family/internal medicine) along with associated medical terminology
Ability to prepare the visit encounter by (but not limited to), reason for visit, patient orders and medications.
Multi-task efficiently and effectively as required.
Ability to work under pressure within time constraints. Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy situation.
Demonstrate great listening skills and have the ability to navigate within the EMR efficiently. Encompasses the ability to multi-task efficiently and effectively as required
Under the direction of the provider, participates in planning and implementing care for patients within the scope of practice. Understands how to troubleshoot issues and escalate problems to provider, direct supervisor, or appropriate internal resource. Demonstrates standards of excellence in care in all interactions, for both internal and external customers.
Establish and maintain professionalism through appearance and work relationships with medical team
1 year of medical office/assisting experience
Ability to spell and write concisely. Must be able to type min. 45wpm. Excellent customer care/service and anticipate needs. Flexible and ability to work independently. Scribe training is required (provided by Mercy) to be completed within first 60 days.
