Provide industry expertise in the application of advanced Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools to holistically improve GEHA’s business processes. Champion efforts across as well as and within organizations to improve profits, cost savings and process efficiency. Ensure appropriate operational and financial analysis aligns with lean and six sigma practice Mentor leadership in the practical application of lean and systems thinking to address performance gaps and end-to-end solutions thereby enriching GEHA’s customer experience, enhancing profitability and add increasing value to for our customer/members
SKILLS
Facilitation
- Oversee and advise improvement engagements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Oversee and advise process modeling, process design or process analysis efforts and kaizen events
- Oversee and advise LSS activities utilizing group skills to lead group consensus, solve problems, and accomplish tasks
- Oversee and advise collaboration with improvement business partners as required, to obtain subject matter expertise during improvement events
Process Analysis
- Oversee and advise the development of lean process management capabilities and standard work, and embed practices that yield immediate and long term benefits
- Oversee and advise the collection of data and analysis to establish performance baselines and ensure selected solutions achieve measurable improvement
- Oversee and advise senior staff as they serve as a process improvement guides to assist with identifying operational improvements and making recommendations to streamline processes
- Oversee and advise the continuous improvement and advancement of GEHA’s Improvement Program, including the development and maintenance of methodologies, processes, tools and services
- Oversee and advise capability and other statistical assessments
Project Management
- Oversee and advise the project management of lean engagements
- Oversee and advise on the collaboration and communication of ongoing results key management and stakeholders during improvement engagements
- Oversee and advise the sharing of lessons learned and best practices with others throughout the organization when appropriate
- Oversee and advise the partnering with divisions and business partners to evaluate transformation impacts to develop and initiate appropriate change management plans
- Oversee and advise the work with organizations to facilitate the development of improvement roadmaps.
Education
- Oversee and advise the provisioning of process-centric behavioral tools and methods to enable internal partners and senior leaders with the ability to deliver reliable and predictable business results in collaboration with business partners, improvement ambassadors and cross-functional work streams
- Oversee and advise the development and deployment of the Lean Six Sigma training to all levels to create enabling the creation of a lean business system
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
- Eight years’ experience as a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt with additional, applicable work experience in a quality improvement capacity– preferred
- Experienced leading process change efforts related to the implementation and use of the principles of Lean Six Sigma/Process Improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior technical aptitude
- Master facilitator in using or prescribing techniques and approaches used to facilitate meetings, generate collaborative discussion, assist teams in consensus decision
- Accomplished with project management discipline to lead improvement efforts
- Experienced at leading others to deliver according to established deadlines as well as managing personal work and deadlines
- Expert in applying statistical analysis in evaluating complex business problems
- Self-directed, goal oriented, quality driven and capable of working both independently and in a team environment. Capable of independent-decision making,
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Office, and capable of learning health industry and department-specific software, tools, etc.
Work-at-home requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
- Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
- Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,795 - $134,205 USD.
