POSITION SUMMARY
The position title is located in Hazel Park, MI.
Assist and support quality and process improvement in machines, methods, and material.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides full support to the quality and production departments.
- Lead FTQ/scrap improvement projects.
- Development and control of internal documents.
- Support PPAP activities and submissions.
- Lead and assist in addressing customer concerns and corrective actions.
- Identify and engage in implementation of process improvements.
- Support calibration of devices and equipment.
- Coordinate and conduct statistical data analysis as required.
- Support Layered Process Audits (LPA).
- Participate in MRB (Material Review Board) and disposition of material.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 or more years of experience working in quality assurance preferably within an automotive environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical degree.
- Knowledge of the relevant industry standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 preferred.
- Ability to work with others and independently with minimal direction.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to build control plans and work instructions.
- Experience using and learning precision measurement equipment and test devices.
- Ability to train personnel on the accurate use of gages and control system documents.
- Willingness to grow in knowledge base.
- Mechanical proficiency preferred.
- Capable of making decisions regarding product quality and part disposition.
- Strong proven understanding of MS-Office software.
- Ability to travel less than 10% to customers
