Social Media Coordinator

Summary
As a Social Media Coordinator for William Chris Wine Company, you will have the opportunity to support the entire marketing department and learn about multiple facets of our wine business. Day to day, you will find yourself responsible for a wide range of social media tasks, at various stages of projects and initiatives that the department may be working on. You thrive with variety in your work, and you hate being bored. At one moment you might be sifting through customer data for insights and another you will be designing a graphic for social media or supporting our team at an event – anything that allows you to be creative and stretch yourself to learn something new, you’re up to the challenge! Essential functions

  • Manage and cultivate organic social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok)
  • Collaborate with the Performance Marketing Manager to develop strategies to build awareness and consideration through organic and paid social channels.
  • Provide support to the marketing team on creative asset development – may include copywriting, graphic design, light photography/video capturing as needed
  • Liaise with outside agency/industry partners and collaborate with key internal counterparts in our Wine Club, Tasting Room, Onsite Events, Outside Sales, Production, and HR departments to help develop world-class marketing materials
  • Monitor and provide social media responses and routing to Tasting Room/Wine Club
  • Develop and manage the social calendar for all WCWC brands that will coincide with the email calendar, promotions, and on-site events.
  • Record organic social KPIs
  • Work with PR partners and the Performance Marketing Manager to support influencer/media strategy and relationships
  • Take part in ongoing marketing team check-ins on progress and areas for improvement and innovation
  • Conduct regular competitive research and share summaries with marketing and executive teams
  • Represent marketing at select consumer/member events (plan for 1-2 weekend/evening events per month)

Travel and remote work

  • This position requires travel between Fredericksburg, Hye, Johnson City and Burnet, Texas
  • This position is eligible for remote work approved by supervisor

Additional eligibility requirements

  • Degree in Marketing/Communications is preferred but not required
  • Prior experience in a social media marketing role or in a general marketing role is a bonus (including internships as well as experience as an influencer/blogger)
  • Food/Beverage, Hospitality, or Customer Service experience a plus
  • Ability to work in Google apps (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Photos)
  • Experience working in Meta Business Suite is preferred but not required
  • Desire to learn and master new marketing software like Hubspot, Canva, Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
