The Job

This position will be responsible for deep cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing the spa and fitness facility. Spa housekeeping will also help with cleaning and organizing spa laundry.


Your Responsibilities

  • Embodies the standards of the Gurney’s Brand by displaying professionalism in all forms of communication.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead and build capable teams and be a steward of our culture.
  • Ensure effective leadership and communication throughout the property.
  • Foster and maintain trusted and professional relationships with the Executive Team, Managers and all employees
  • Manage and develop direct reports towards individual growth and quality standards of excellence.
  • Be actively involved and visibly present in the daily operation for not only our employees, but also your associates.
  • Greet guests and provide continuous service in anticipation of guests' needs.
  • Deep clean and sanitize all desks, tables, and surfaces in the spa
  • Perform cleaning duties that include but are not limited to sweeping, mopping, emptying garbage, wiping down mirrors and windows, and organizing items.
  • Housekeepers must verify that all facilities are maintained and in working order
  • Help with spa laundry services
  • Verify floors/baseboards are spotless (especially in corners)
  • Verify all metal shiny/free of fingerprints, smudges
  • Verify sinks are shiny and free of dried water residue
  • Verify all lights are on and working
  • Verify HVAC vents are clean
  • Verify and sanitize lockers always after use
  • Verify Spa and Fitness Center equipment are working properly. Any repair needs are noted and reported to management
  • Answering any questions, responding to requests, and helping guest get acclimated to the spa
  • To understand that work schedules change according to business demands at the discretion of management, and to adhere to assigned work schedules at all times.
  • To attend all mandatory spa training sessions
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Spa Management

The Ideal Candidate

  • High School Diploma or equivalent recommended but not mandatory.
  • Housekeeping experience not required, but helpful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in clear English. Ability to communicate in secondary language is a plus.
  • Computer friendly with a strong proficiency with MS Office Programs.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the area in a timely basis.
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage in high volume, and high stress environments. Posses a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
  • Must have manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and stretch. Can frequently lift up to 30 pounds, as well as work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule. (Including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • You are a detail-oriented self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and love luxury & lifestyle brands
  • Ability to work and remain calm and professional under potentially stressful situations to ensure guest satisfaction
