Job Summary

The Sr. HR Business Partner will work collaboratively with the Human Resources team and business leaders focusing on the Trusted Connected Devices (TCD) organization to align practices and initiatives with the company’s strategic and operational goals. The Sr. HR Business Partner will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the company’s financial position, its strategic plans, its culture and its competition in order to provide guidance to the leadership team in delivering against the business and people growth objectives and to promote a high performance culture. Location: Dulles Virginia, this is a hybrid role

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide insight, recommendations and solutions in all people management topics including employee development, employee relations, employee retention, performance management, performance improvement, hiring and termination decisions
  • Contribute to creating solutions for best practice initiatives in such areas as employment, employee communication, career development, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee recognition
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues in the Global HR community, esp. with TCD Global HR regarding people and organizational development
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Maintain accurate accounting of staffing levels and provide guidance and support for quality on-time staffing
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, guidelines and processes.
  • Ensures the preventive activities execution with an External Prevention Services.
  • Ensures consistency and compliance in all legal and HR related topics
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to review and make recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure compliance
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of and responsibility for legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel maters
  • Partner with business unit managers in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program
  • Manage employee relations issues ensuring effective, thorough and objective investigations are conducted and recommends appropriate corrective action
  • Provide guidance and input on restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning
  • Collaborates on and promotes change management and drives local initiatives
  • Participate on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities
  • Travel as needed (travel requirement approximately 10%)

  • Ability to influence and problem solve in the areas of compensation, talent assessment, performance management, talent acquisition and employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization and be a strong contributing team member
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated experience providing consultative guidance to business leaders related to HR policies and practices
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Dynamic, resourceful self-starter who can work independently and drive results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource or Business Administration preferred
  • 8 years’ progressive Human Resource experience in and working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
  • Prior HR Generalist experience working in a fast-paced environment is required
  • Prior experience working for a SAAS organization a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written) preferred
