Join our manufacturing team as a manufacturing technician to build, test, troubleshoot, and support Entrust Datacard products.
The core working hours are Monday-Thursday 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Build, test and troubleshoot Entrust Datacard products in order to ship highest quality products per customer requirements
- Complete mechanical and electrical assembly, test and troubleshooting tasks as needed
- Provide feedback on quality directly to assemblers, leaders and engineering as appropriate.
- Identify process improvements related to manufacturability, cost, and quality and work with the team to implement
- Ensure final products meet order specifications
- May perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration of product and equipment
- Demonstrate awareness of and comply with all Quality policies while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement
- Understand and perform processes for manufacturing of product within work areas to achieve the required quality level
- Ensure quality requirements are all met and ISO 9001 standards are followed, which may include conducting training in the work area
- Follow safety policies and promote safe work practices, partner with supervisor to ensure policies are being followed. Identify potential risk areas and bring them to the attention of leadership.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workplace and compliance towards ISO 14001 Environmental standards.
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, automated systems/robotics or related field or equivalent verifiable training (e.g., military training in relevant field)
- 3+ years of experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical equipment
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer skills
- Able to work from and follow work instructions and engineering drawings
- Able to work in a sitting or standing position for extended time periods and able to lift and install mechanical assemblies that may weigh up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US
Preferred Qualifications:
- Able to learn new things quickly, work as part of a team, and exhibit a high level of initiative.
- Ability to recognize what needs to be done and will work with the team and manufacturing leadership to accomplish necessary tasks.
- Committed to continuous improvement
- Strong computer skills
- Previous experience with industrial automation equipment or specialized machines
- Experience working in a large capital custom machine building environment
