Position Summary
Anthem Business Group, the parent company of Anthem Broadband, is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to provide services and expertise across multiple companies. This role performs a range of accounting and reporting support functions for all companies served by our office. We’re open to discussing either part-time or full-time position.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
SCOPE:
- Check, verify and process invoices from outside vendors as needed.
- Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records.
- Assist in month-end closing and reporting processes.
- Assist with balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations, as assigned.
- Find and use accounting data to resolve accounting problems and
- discrepancies.
- Process corporate credit card transactions and collect and organize receipts.
- Process employee expense reports.
- Keep and organize digital files and backup, file and organize hardcopies and
- perform other general admin and office tasks.
- Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors.

- Work on situational and highly complex matters where analysis of data requires evaluation of various factors and intangibles. Applies the organizations policies, procedures, and practices, as well as own knowledge to develop solutions.

Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s in accounting/Finance or a long tenure in accounting or bookkeeping can offset this.
- 1-3 years of experience using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office programs
- 1-3 years of experience with audit preparation
- 1-3 years of experience QuickBooks (QBO preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience with MS Office tools i.e., MS. Word, Excel, Outlook
