ECI is looking for a Steer Hand/Steering Technician to join their growing team. ECI specializes in trenchless and underground solutions throughout the United States.

The Steering Technician will be responsible for the following:

• Plan, layout, and aide in the execution of HDD pilot hole drilling via surveying and steering tool systems.
• Ensuring that all pilot hole bore paths conform to project specifications and are within proposed drill path tolerances.
• Documentation of drilling data to be provided as-built data to applicable parties for utilization as required.
• Travel to projects throughout the United States and work extended hours, including weekends.

Requirements:

• Must be flexible and have the ability to work in a faced-paced environment.

• This position requires strong analytical and math skills (geometry and trigonometry), quick thinking, and an understanding of engineering and construction principles pertaining to Horizontal Directional Drilling.

• Experience utilizing survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, etc.)
• Experience with downhole steering programs (Paratrack, Tensteer, etc.)
• Considerable understanding of directional drilling surveying techniques.
