Overview
Basic Job Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with all aspects of software and hardware acquisition, configuration, provisioning and production support for EMC Centera, NetApp NAS Cohesity PowerMax and NetBackup storage systems.
TOP 3 Responsibilities for Back up position:
- Be an integral part of the team planning and implementing the new Cohesity backup solution.
- Subject Matter Expert of Cohesity working to move backups from NetBackup to Cohesity.
- Technical Lead for the back up team.
- The ideal candidate already participated in a conversion from Back-up to Cohesity, but not required.
- Technical lead who will manage the conversion/implementation of Cohesity.
- Strategize and create solution for the most efficient fastest way to handle this conversion.
- Will need to do the work and lead team in this project, but not just a lead role. Requires hands on participation in all technical aspects of conversion project.
Duties:
Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of complex applications with complex subsystems that may affect the entire system or multiple systems applications.
Advise on methods to improve scalability.
Prepare communications, documentation and conducts classes on new system alternatives.
Consult and provide guidance to client and IT personnel.
Receive general supervision and is competent to work at the highest technical level of systems consulting while working on own most of the time.
- Participate in technical studies and evaluations of business requirements and technological alternatives, and recommends appropriate systems solutions.
