Store Team Member

Pet Supplies Plus Franchise

A Pet Supplies Plus franchise in Purcellville, Virginia is about to open, and we need to add additional pet lovers with a great work ethic to our team.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Ensure that each of our neighbors (nobody is a mere “customer” at Pet Supplies Plus -- nobody!) receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every neighbor, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of exceptional service.
• Maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, and advertisements.
• Assist in display maintenance, shelf maintenance, and store housekeeping
• Assist in stocking shelves, receiving of merchandise, and monitoring floor stock
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountabilities at Point of Service (POS) register
• Communicate our neighbors’ requests to management
• Prepare orders (phone and online) and assist with curb side pickup
• Help with opening or closing procedures
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and practices
• Use company car to make deliveries within the local area
• Assist with events in the community
• Other duties as assigned by management

Essential Requirements:

• Ability to communicate effectively with neighbors and associates
• Ability to process information through POS system
• Ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 50lbs
• Ability to bend and kneel as needed to stock shelves and clean store
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock room, and register area
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to run the store
• Have reliable transportation
• Ability to work varied hours/days in order to meet our neighbors’ needs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.00 per hour
