Oldcastle APG, Inc.’s 2023 Summer Internship Program is designed to provide a professional environment for undergraduate students to gain real-world experience at a global industry-leading manufacturer of concrete building and hardscape products. The program will run from early June through early August and will provide exposure to valuable learning opportunities within the corporate functions of the organization through assignments, projects, and collaboration. This is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students to apply their knowledge and creativity to a growth-oriented company with headquarters in Atlanta, GA.

Position Summary

The Strategic Initiative Summer Intern will support a series of focused projects in support of several strategic functions to include performance, pricing, and transportation. The intern will complete 3-4 specific workstreams, each with a defined objective and a different set of stakeholders, to provide broad exposure across APG.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Support strategy team’s completion of strategy plan document
• Conduct follow up customer interviews for companies that have recently completed surveys
• Complete diagnostic of transportation organizational roles across APG
• Conduct time studies in several locations to assess yard layouts and establish process to evaluate loading operations
• Assist in mid-year sales evaluation process
• Redesign and re-launch identified Tableau dashboards
• Assist in performance analytics pilot

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

• 
  Students pursuing Bachelor’s Degree Program in Junior year of College or Third year of University (Anticipated Graduation date of Fall 2023 or Spring 2023)
• Concentration or Area of Study in Finance, Economics, or Engineering
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Comfortable with Tableau desktop
• Ability to attend program hosted in Atlanta, GA
• Strong willingness to learn
