We are hiring Summer Day Camp Instructors (Driver Positions) for the following Bay Area locations:
- Oakland
- Cupertino/San Jose
- Burlingame
- Mill Valley
- Menlo Park
**Our non-driving Camp Instructor positions at most of our California camps have been filled. Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start of camp in order to drive Avid4 Adventure vehicle campers. Applicants that do not qualify can still be considered for one of our California Camp Gear Coordinator positions listed on our job board **
In this role you will
- Co-lead an activity group of up to 13 campers through outdoor activities including: mountain biking, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, SUPing and Leave No Trace principles.
- Organize and participate in camp programming, ranging from outdoor sports to camp games and rituals.
- Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities.
- Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants.
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp. (most non-driver positions filled)
- Staff must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license to drive campers. Drivers receive a 2% pay increase.
- +1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred
- Must enjoy spending time with kids and having fun!
- Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done)
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday, about 40 hours/week
- Mandatory training begins May 27. Programs begin June 5 and run through August 4.
