Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 23 countries and over 2300 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Export Documentation Clerk for the Tank Container Department in our Houston, TX office.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: *
- Develops and maintains excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Receives, reviews, and processes export documentation for an assigned base of accounts.
- Processes and follows Shipper's Letter of Instructions accurately.
- Arranges, books and confirms cargo space.
- Prepares and processes House B/Ls, Master B/Ls, Invoices, Insurance Certificates, Certificates of Origin, Consular Documents and EEIs.
- Processes documents through the appropriate system in a timely manner to ensure compliance with established deadlines.
- Prepares and/or sends advance notification of shipments and documents to banks, shippers, consignees, and destination offices, as required and within established standards.
- Handles AES submissions, as per Government Regulations and Leschaco Company Policy.
- Closes files, creates Freight Invoices and distributes documents in accordance with Shippers Letter of Instruction and in compliance with export standards.
- Advises supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.

Job Requirements: *
- 3-5 years experience in ocean exports with a freight forwarder
- 3-5 years in ISO Tank Container operations
- Knowledge of Export Regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines daily
- Critical thinking skills
- Be able to work independently, multi-task, be a team player and work in a fast paced environment
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Experience with the handling of hazardous materials a plus
