Technician

Summary

The purpose of this position is to apply a range of technical service skills and knowledge of processes to manufacture, service and repair products and tools to required quality. Additionally, to champion continuous improvement initiatives and supports the new product introduction (NPI) process.

The opportunity

· Works autonomously to apply a wide range of technical service skills and processes to carry out manufacture, service and/or repair to products and tools.

· Operates all tools, machinery and equipment efficiently and safely to ensure satisfactory completion of assigned

duties.

· Assist other departments with product availability, suitability and movement as required.

· Support the development & updates to any product manuals and documentation including SWIs and SWO’s in conjunction with Engineering.

· Ensure all equipment is calibrated. Advise Team Lead if equipment is not calibrated.

· Applies problem solving skills to troubleshoot solutions to basic technical issues.

· Contribute to root cause analysis process and assist to implement corrective actions for process related issues.

· Identifies opportunities to improve effectiveness of work.

· Identify, develop and set up required jigs and fixtures to ensure continuous manufacturing efficiency.

· High efficiency assembly of products including packing products or kits as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

· 2+ year industry experience in a similar role

· Ability to clearly write accurate and routine descriptions of work performed.

· Basic computer literacy

Salary: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
