Job description

The Title Closer will be responsible for processing and closing real estate transactions, and will work closely with the real estate attorneys on the following duties:

• Examine and clear requirements on title commitments and lender closing instructions for compliance status.
• Establish and maintain constant contact with clients, buyers, sellers, lenders and brokers.
• Order surveys, estoppels, title searches and lien searches and review and disclose matters found on those and any other relevant documents.
• Prepare closing disclosures, settlement statements, deeds, title due diligence documents for lenders and all other settlement documents.
• Serve as an escrow officer, which includes the receipt and disbursement of funds.
• Manage the closings pipeline and schedule all buyers and sellers for closings.
• Open new files and keep records of each file through closing.
• Handle recording of documents via e-recording or mail outs to appropriate counties.
