GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Vice President of Digital Marketing serves as the leader for our digital marketing business. The role will lead a nimble team and focus on driving digital sales, loyalty, online engagement, and improving the online customer experience. Key tactics will include website, mobile, loyalty and email optimizations through UI and UX enhancements, SEO and digital advertising (programmatic, search and social).
Manage the implementation of online marketing campaigns and analyze their effectiveness by leveraging expert-level knowledge of online strategies and marketing analytics, optimization, and personalization platforms. Execute digital strategies and programs that deliver measurable business objectives for sales, revenue, market share and profitability including new customer acquisition, retention, and growth strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the acquisition, retention, & attribution marketing technology landscape and have experience leading this for a data-centric e-commerce business.
This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and works closely with the senior Marketing team to lead our digital business.

FOCUS
Responsibilities
§ Implement digital campaigns that increase brand awareness, drive traffic, grow sales, and deliver ROI.
§ Grow and manage the online ordering business on both mobile app and website.
§ Identify optimizations of website and mobile app to increase conversion and sales.
§ Design and conduct A/B testing and track effectiveness at driving results.
§ Continuously work to optimize online customer experience.
§ Manage loyalty program, Potbelly Perks, developing and deploying strategies to grow customer acquisition, program penetration and frequency.
§ Define and optimize plan for deepening the relationship with customers via creation and management of consumer CRM/email strategy and execution.
§ Oversee SEO strategy and deliver optimizations to drive online sales.
§ Develop and execute strategy to maximize and optimize digital delivery business in partnership with DSPs.
§ Plan and coordinate all website and mobile app content updates in line with overall product marketing calendar.
§ Conduct Daily, weekly and monthly reporting – analyze and provide reporting on sales by category, market, site usage and marketing campaign performance.
§ Drive ROI measurement across website and mobile app; establish baseline metrics and work towards quarterly goals to achieve incremental performance and results.
§ Manage analytics solutions including Google Analytics and other tools.
§ Works with all third parties and CIO to ensure that all system integrations remain up and running and are accurate.
§ Partner with 3rd party resources to identify innovative ways to drive online sales.
§ Stay abreast of emerging e-commerce marketing opportunities and innovative ideas.
§ Manage the online marketing budget and prioritize key deliverables.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
§ Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 45 to 55 hours a week

- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
§ Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field
§ Must be able to communicate heavily through telephone, e-mail, video conference, Microsoft Teams, text/SMS, and in-person communications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS
§ Bachelors Degree in Marketing or related.
§ 10+ years of experience in Digital Marketing with concentration in loyalty, e-commerce and performance marketing.
§ Previous digital agency or fast paced e-commerce driven environment experience is preferred.
§ Extensive experience managing loyalty programs for enterprise brands with the ability to leverage data that informs customer segmentation, acquisition & retention strategies, and targeted marketing.
§ Demonstrated knowledge of SEO and SEM.
§ Working knowledge of google analytics, google adwords and other similar tools.
§ 5+ years of people management experience with a proven track record of coaching and developing high performing teams.
§ Strong communications skills; ability to effectively communicate information and contribute innovative ideas in written and verbal format.
§ Demonstrated initiative, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
§ Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Professional, and internet browser software is required.
§ Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
