We are actively recruiting a
Vice President of Health Equity, reporting to the Executive Vice President of Aledade. This role is responsible for developing and championing Aledade’s data-informed health equity strategy across the company. The VP of Health Equity will work closely with all senior leaders across Aledade to ensure equity is a measurable part of every team’s work and is part of an overall cohesive and data-informed health equity strategy. This leader will be an internal and external champion for Aledade’s health equity work with strong data analytic skills to ensure ongoing improvements on key equity metrics. This leader will also build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communities. We are flexible with respect to geographic location, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable working remotely/work from home within the US.
Key Characteristics of the Successful Candidate:
- Deep experience developing and championing comprehensive health equity strategies across complex health provider organizations that are data-informed and goal oriented
- Experience leading across a complex and highly matrixed organization with the ability to lead through influence
- Strong data analysis, data visualization and data communications skills to ensure the health equity strategy and implementation is powered by actionable and timely data across the company
- Ability to be an internal health equity consultant for Aledade’s core teams to ensure equity is baked into all aspects of the company’s key results.
- Strong communication skills - written and verbal – to champion health equity work both internally and externally.
- Senior leader with the ability to represent Aledade and the health equity work at external conferences, at Aledade ACO board meetings, individual practices presentations and to our internal Aledade teams.
- Strong foundation in value based care principles and how they can be leveraged to further health equity principles
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communities including thought leaders, advocates, key organizations, faith leaders and others.
- Strong ability to articulate the intersection of health equity initiatives and financial drivers to Aledade ACO member practices and internally within the company.
- Strong vision for in tech-enablement of the company’s products to enable consistent results at scale and reduced operating costs.
- Capacity to translate high levels of intimacy with the day to day work and challenges of Aledade practices into the health equity strategy development
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop Aledade’s data-informed health equity strategy across the company’s key results - growth, performance and quality of care.
- Lead the health equity data investments, data analysis and data visualization prioritization in collaboration with Impact Analytics and Business Intelligence
- Work closely with all senior leaders across Aledade to ensure equity is a measurable part of every team’s work and is part of an overall cohesive and data-informed strategy.
- Champion Aledade’s health equity work internally as an internal consultant to ensure equity is aligned and prioritized toward the health equity strategy - leading through influence
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and communities in the health equity space internally and externally – including key advocacy organizations, faith community leaders, thought leaders and others.
Requirements:
- 10 years of professional experience, with 5+ years (preferred) of successfully leading evidence-based health equity efforts at a health care equivalent
- Proven track record of successfully using data to drive organizational improvement in health outcomes for vulnerable populations; including using data to drive prioritization and strategy development.
- Ability to manage and influence change throughout the organization with effective relationship building skills across all levels
- Disciplined, data-oriented, analytical leader who possesses business intelligence that is equally as strong as their emotional intelligence. Strong ability to translate data into strategy and action plans
- Prior experience leading teams with focus on internal consulting
- Prior experience working with an executive leadership team
- Regional (required) or national (preferred) visibility as thought leader and/or scholar in health equity with extensive public speaking and writing experience
- Demonstrated track record of spirit of innovation, openness to experimentation and trying new ideas to spark change
- Bachelor’s degree in related area required
- Graduate level degree (Master s, Doctorate) in related area preferred; MD preferred but not required
