Position Summary

Our business is seeking a Day Shift Supervisor for our Distribution Center in Memphis, TN. We are seeking a self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize and undertake individual or team projects to resolve problems independently.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain high customer satisfaction levels through excellence in dispatching, identifying, receiving, and ensuring quality of products
• Measure and address the effectiveness of employee performance and warehousing activities
• Work with management to observe disciplinary issues, attendance, and performance of direct reports
• Control and organize storage and inventory space
• Ensure the accuracy of inventory and shipments
• Communicate position expectations and train employees
• Define staffing needs and allocate workload
• Interact with customer service to resolve problems or answer questions
• Maintain records, utilize specialized reports, and document relevant information
• Implement new methods, processes, and improvements
• Prepare, pack, schedule, and route orders for delivery
• Identify operations needing development and institute innovations to adjust current work practices and procedures
• Consult and organize activities with other teams and departments
• Enforce safety standards and compliance
• Oversee a team of 15 – 20 employees
• Assign teams and allocate work fairly and in a way that best uses employees’ skills

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong Microsoft and excel skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
