Position Overview

This is a professional position requiring retirement planning expertise and direct servicing of existing clients. This is not a traditional Financial Advisor position. If you like the financial services industry but you do not enjoy an ephasis on sales, this position might be a good fit. As a Wealth Management Service Advisor, you will provide individualized financial planning and support in order to help existing clients achieve their financial and retirement goals. This career involves, but is not limited to, assisting clients in the maintenance of their current assets and tailoring individual retirement plans for pre-retirees and retirees. You must have an engaging and personable approach to client relationships and adhere to the highest of ethical and financial practices. The ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate firm needs and client questions is a must. Additionally, detail oriented, structured individuals with a high degree of follow through will thrive in this position, as will those with an exceptional communication and relationship building skill-set. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the Financial Services Industry (banking, brokerage, wealth management, etc.)

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients in a genuine and cheerful manner, building relationships with pre-retirees and retirees to guide them as they enter the season of retirement.
  • Support investment professionals to cultivate client relationships.
  • Respond to prospective customer queries about financial and retirement planning.
  • Provide holistic financial planning for all aspects of retirement.
  • Prepare goal-oriented financial plans with accuracy and creativity, specific to clients' needs.
  • Use multiple software programs to tailor individual retirement plans and generate reports such as income plans, tax strategies, and investment planning approaches.
  • Be able to learn things quickly in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage regular changing of priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Fully licensed preferred (Series 65 or Series 7 & 66)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be technologically savvy and have the ability to learn and use multiple software programs
  • Experience in medical, banking or other financial services position is a plus
  • College degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent)
  • At least 4 years of customer service experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction
  • Desire for personal and professional development and advancement within the changing world of finance.

Compensation Structure:

Since this is not a traditional Financial Advisor position, the compensation structure is a competitive base salary (based on experience) with quarterly bonuses based on the service excellence you provide to existing clients.

  • Monthly marketing events that require evenings (appx. two evenings per month)
  • Quarterly travel for training and education

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
