Job description

Williamson Employment Services is looking for Laser Operators in the Niles, MI area.

Schedule:
2nd Shift, Mon-Thurs: 2pm-midnight; Hours may vary, over-time as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set up of equipment, perform production work, help instruct and train others as needed.
2. Make suggestions to help resolve problems.
3. Ensure all quality, quantity, and safety standards are met and/or exceeded.
4. Perform quality checks per requirements;
5. Package parts, perform material handling functions;
6. Read and understand work instructions and measurement devices
7. Wear appropriate PPE.
8. Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. On a repetitive basis
9. Use small hand-held tools
10. Perform other associated job duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications
1. Must be able to use small hand-held tools, grinders, sanders, etc.
2. Must be able to accurately complete all required production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.
3. Forklift experience is a plus
4. Ability to read calipers, digital micrometers and indicators is a plus, but is not required.
5. Mazak Smart System Nesting + programming experience with a Mazak laser cutter is highly desirable.

Physical requirements
The factory is a fast paced environment. Employees are required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects when needed and perform repetitive tasks. May lift 50 lbs. With overhead reaching and bending over.
