Position Description Summary:
The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (MFA) is seeking two full-time faculty members in the Department of Surgery’s Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery. The MFA is an independent, non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University. The Department of Surgery’s faculty are committed to patient care, cohesive and focused team building, administrative leadership, as well as resident and medical student education.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include providing excellent clinical care in colon and rectal surgery services, teaching medical students and general surgery residents as well as conducting research. This is a non-tenure track position and will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery and eligible for District of Columbia and Maryland medical licensure at the time of employment. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in general surgery by the time of employment and have completed a fellowship in Colon and Rectal surgery.
Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching as evidenced by teaching evaluations, excellence in research as evidenced by scholarly publications or works in progress, and excellence in clinical care as evidenced by experience and professional references.
