Job description

Improve your vehicle knowledge with the world's largest transmission specialist. We require the services of an experienced automotive technician. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of prior experience in diagnosing automotive issues across all vehicles types. Further training and self improvement resources are available. Applicant should be proficient in the use of a Snap-On scanner or Autel Scanner, Multimeter, able to search industry knowledge banks for suitable fixes to the issues diagnosed. Should have experience with A/C work, Brakes, suspension, batteries and charging circuits. Experience in R&R automatic transmissions will be a clear advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct road tests in order to assist with accurate diagnosis of vehicle problems.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
• Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
• Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.

• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Skills

• Proven experience as auto mechanic, genuine interest and a passion for cars
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Experienced in A/C repairs, Brakes, suspension and vehicle drive train.
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lifts)
• Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
• Excellent physical condition

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $24.00 per hour
