An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Chemical and Process Team working out of our Pittsburgh, PA office.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare heat and material balance and other engineering calculations
• Responsible for providing technical input preparing project deliverables on assigned projects
• Participate in business development activities
• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs)
• Size and select process equipment and prepare process equipment datasheets and specifications
• Pressure relief device sizing and specification including pressure relief networks
• Assist in identifying and developing new Chemical industry clients
• Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
• Develop quotes and proposals for clients
• Actively engage with project team members for project related matters relevant to our clients
• Perform process engineering duties on assigned projects as required

Qualification and Skills

• Degree in chemical engineering
• P.E is required
• 8+ years engineering experience and working in/with the chemical industry
• Ability to manage complex tasks with shifting priorities and multi-task
• Experience with process simulation software an asset (i.e., Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, ProSim, CHEMCAD, AVEVA PRO/II, etc.)
• Development of process engineering estimates and proposal writing experience for projects ranging from feasibility studies to detailed engineering
• Understanding of engineering design and construction principles
