CNC Machinist’s in Monticello, MN | $25.00 - $35.00/Hour DOE
Our CNC Machinist’s work is a alternating work week starting with Monday to Thursday then Tuesday to Friday with hours starting at 06:00 am until 04:00 pm This job is a Skilled Industrial type position that that pays $25.00 - $35.00/Hour and is a Direct Hire opportunity.
CNC Machinist Duties and Responsibilities –
- Identify opportunities to reduce machining time through process and program improvements.
- Assure quality by inspecting finished parts, report irregularities or tolerance deviations to quality control personnel.
- Perform tool wear offsets or change inserts to meet tolerance requirements.
- Follow, create, and help maintain work instructions, complete required daily paperwork.
- Maintain equipment and worksite by completing housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and daily inspection tasks.
- The employee may be required to assist other CNC Operators and serve as a trainer or mentor.
- Writes programs for CNC machines both CAD and longhand.
- Perform in-process inspection of own work while running machine.
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition. Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and work practices.
- Conform to the company quality system as documented.
CNC Machinist Requirements and Qualifications –
- CNC Mill/Lathe Set-Up/Operator will oversee set-up, editing and operating of CNC Turning centers.
- This position sets up new and repeat jobs, assists operators on how to run parts, troubleshoots and edits code as necessary, keeps records, communicates with co-workers regarding production runs, maintains >quality and safety standards
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Modern late model equipment Haas, Hwacheon and Citizen machines
- Opportunity to learn Swiss machining
- Automated inspection equipment
- Smaller parts, no large or heavy work
- Small - medium size production lots
- Good work habits and effort are noticed
- Long term employment position
