The hours for this position are as follows: 2:00pm-6:00pm at the John T. Nichols, Jr. Middle School 6:30pm-10:30pm at the Middleborough High School1. Carry out plans and directions of the Head Custodians and Principals at both schools2. Perform all types of cleaning, including floors, walls, windows, blinds, lights, furniture in all building rooms, offices, meeting areas and bathroom facilities3. Dust all ledges and shelving4. Maintain clean water and operable water fountains5. Sweep, wet mop, refinish and wax floors as needed6. Refinish and maintain gym floors as directed7. Perform minor repair to plumbing, furniture, lights, doors, windows, etc.8. Check roof drains as directed, remove debris to prevent clogging9. Move bulk material such as boxes of supplies, books, etc.10. Move furniture such as desks, chairs, file cabinets, bookcases, etc.11. Policing of grounds, mow lawns and trim shrubs as needed.12. Snow - remove snow from all entrances and emergency exits, sand walkways as needed.13. Painting of small areas, walls, doors, and trim work, etc.14. Vacuum carpets and entrance mats.15. Sweep and keep all boilers rooms clean and free of clutter16. Start boilers and care for related building mechanical equipment, including emergency generators. Run as scheduled, change oil, clean and check battery, and maintain fuel level17. Clean all building glass, to include classroom windows, doors, fire doors at all entrances.18. Maintain and secure all supplies, tools and equipment at all times19. Cleaning of chalkboards, white boards, trays, and erasers20. Submit supply order to Head Custodian as directed21. Unlock and lock building as directed22. Raise and lower flag daily23. Perform all other duties as delegated and assigned.
