ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Analyst to join our DHS team in the Nation’s Capital !

The OA CSS contract supports the CBP Office of Acquisition and multiple customers within CBP. The acquisition support includes program management, acquisition process reviews, contracting, budget, schedule, engineering, test & evaluation, and requirements support for the gov to develop, procure, and deploy systems for border security. These experts and SMEs are fully embedded with our gov customer. In addition, we support activity for the CBP intelligence community by providing intelligence analysts to support a wide range of classified activity.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Collect and analyze structured and unstructured data, producing statistical results and conclusions in understandable and informative products
• Interpret CBP structured and unstructured data as well as other law enforcement agency data and exercise independent judgment to produce statistical analytic products using regression time series, confidence intervals, predictive modeling, and exploratory data analysis
• Implement best practices, Agile Development Methodology/ Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) to ensure design consistency for the best user experience
• Use scientific inquiry in the independent development of statistical models to evaluate and predict illegal border activity
• Develop models to test, analyze, and evaluate non-linear law enforcement data sets
• Serve as an expert on modeling techniques such as regression, predictive, and time-series
• Provide feedback and guidance on projects
• Design, develop and maintain user-friendly data visualizations using complex datasets from different sources
• Oversee the oversee the development and delivery of the Toolkits Release Notes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) customer Toolkits
• Conduct training sessions to the end-users
• Assess and improve data integration and services through automation of customer missions and needs
• Analyze and evaluate the accuracy and validity of data

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• More than five years’ experience with data analytics with applying experimental theories and new developments to problems with data-driven perspectives and evidence-based decision-making
• Demonstrated knowledge of the significant variables and their underlying relationships when applied in advanced analytics of unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data
• Comprehensive knowledge of the agency's organizational structure, mission, operational policies, customers, and resource deployment in order to tailor research, analyses, and recommendations
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project and SharePoint are required
• Provide customer interface at senior levels of management with excellent oral and written communication skills are critical
• A high school diploma and 11 years of relevant experience or a bachelor’s degree in a relatable field with three years of relevant experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

• A current Customs and Border Protection Background Investigation is required to start

SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS:

• 40 (Full Time)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
