Job description

For more than 100 years, the Oatey family of brands has included some of the most recognized names in residential and commercial plumbing products. We are seeking a dedicated Demand Planner to join us at our manufacturing facility in Shakopee, MN. In this position you will manage the Demand Planning requirements process, including forecasting and inventory.

Responsibilities:

· Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns

· Maintain demand planning processes and systems and propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy

· Oversee demand planning and management processes for new and existing products

· Collaborate with customers, sales team and supply chain management to improve forecast precision

· Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities and identify areas in need of improvement and recommend action plans

· Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets and business strategies and successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management

· Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner

· Target to fill rate goal and minimum/maximum stock levels

· Participate in S&OP meetings

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, industrial engineering or related field

· APICS CPIM Certification preferred

· Previous Demand Planning or Material Resource Planning experience with a demonstrated understanding of demand planning strategies and models, as well as inventory management practices and procedures

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

· Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge, as well as strong written and oral communication skills

· Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Report Writer and Microsoft Dynamics AX

· Demonstrated team and individual leadership skills, including decision-making, analytical, team-building and organizational skills
