SOUTH & WESTERN GENERAL AGENCY, INC. is seeking a Developer to join our team in Addison, TX
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
This position will be responsible for analyzing, building and supporting web applications. The candidate will be able to show examples of sophisticated solutions they have developed. You will be working with a wide range of business users to assess their needs, gathering requirements, following specifications and developing dynamic data-driven technology solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 1+ years of experience and understanding with ASP.NET, C#, MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, XML and XSL
- Solid of understanding of Database Design and Architecture
- Provide accurate estimates of projects and features
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written and group presentations)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and outstanding customer service orientation
- Must be flexible, innovative, self-motived and able to work with business users and interface with all levels of the company, translate business and design goals into an outstanding and highly performing user experience for all web-based properties
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required.
- Insurance Experience a plus

- Our Commercial Lines divisions offer many specialty classes with emphasis placed on long haul trucking, public auto, and garage liability classes. A broad offering of excess and surplus lines with emphasis on general liability and property is also a core focus.
- Several of our markets are exclusive to South & Western.
- We are a technology focused company with an ease of doing business philosophy towards our retail independent agents. Many of our products are delivered on-line with rating and policy issuance functionality.
