Independent FedEx Ground contractor is seeking Driver Helpers join our team! This position is key in ensuring timely delivery with exceptional customer service to our business and residential customers.

In this role your will be required to perform the following tasks:

• Assist Drivers with loading and setting up the routes on the truck before they depart the terminal.
• Delivering packages of all shapes, sizes and weights to the appropriate places on customer properties, this includes porches, carports, etc.
• Organize drop offs as you approach the individual stops.
• Assist the Driver with Pick-ups by entering customer sites and pick up packages that need to be taken to the terminal for delivery.

It is extremely important that you are physically fit because this job does require you to be the primary person exiting the vehicle to deliver packages. You must move at a pace consistent with the driver making the stops and delivering packages in a timely manner.

Position is full-time day shift. Part time hours are available. All positions require you have at least 2 weekend days available to work per month.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Follow all safety, handling and delivery procedures to avoid personal injury and property damage
• must be able to lift up to 50s and maneuver up to 150 lbs using equipment provided or with the assistance of another person.
• Strong sense of urgency to complete deliveries and pickups in a timely fashion
• Comply with appearance guidelines, to include showing up neatly groomed and in uniform.

• Competitive pay - $17.00/hr + $40 per week attendance bonus
• Weekly pay (direct deposit every Friday)

Qualifications

• 18 years of age
• Able to pass company background check
• Strong customer service skills
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude
• Ability to handle physical workload - packages typically weigh 25 - 50 lbs. and may weigh up to 150 lbs.
