Leading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 23 countries and over 2300 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Financial Planning Analyst for our Houston, TX office.

Summary: *
This position reports to the Finance Director and will be a key player on the Finance Team in developing, implementing, and managing effective financial analysis and reporting, data systems, forecasting, and strategy. The position requires someone who is highly analytical, skilled at presenting complex data in a clear and organized manner and can influence decisions with data-driven business insights.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: *

  • Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin
  • Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
  • Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecast
  • Ad-hoc business performance reporting
  • Prepare the monthly and quarterly financial reports of various units and departments
  • Implement a business intelligence tool and dashboard reports
  • Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives
  • Support management team and the Heads of Department with data-driven analysis
  • Review & oversee AR, AP & GL as part of the month end closing process
  • Support on process improvement and accounting framework for the finance team
  • Year end audit reporting, tax reporting and cashflow forecast

Job Requirements: *

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in corporate finance and accounting
  • Strong in Power BI and advanced Excel skillset would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Accounting or Financial Planning Systems (FP&A) is a plus.
  • Experience with change management elements of project support
  • Strong knowledge in SAP is a must
