Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for unloading bottles, caps, and corrugate from incoming trailers. The Forklift Operator will place the pallet loads in the receiving area and provide documentation to Inventory Specialist. The Operator will also remove empty pallets and scrap materials from the line as required. The Forklift Operator will maintain a First-In-First-Out method of line supply and material storage using an electronic device.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities listed below. The duties and responsibilities include the following, though other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensures that the components being delivered to the production line matches the production pick.
  • Rejected corrugate, bottles and other scrap will be disposed of in the proper manner.
  • Pick product for outgoing sales orders using electronic device and support bottling with raw material staging and put aways.
  • Responsible for keeping warehouse clean by following the warehouse sanitation schedule.
  • Loads outgoing sales orders in designated trailers.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to read written forms, labels and codes.
  • Ability to write information clearly onto forms and log sheets.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in an understandable manner.
  • Experience with using electronic devices to read/pick orders in ERP system.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • On-the-job training provided

  • Moderate to high-stress level.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers to reach, grab and hold bottles as well as apply and remove caps.
  • Regularly required to use arms and hands to lift boxes of caps for line supply.
  • Regularly required to stoop, bend, lift, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment and supplies in excess of 60 lbs.
  • Must be able to hear equipment sounds, plant pages, fellow employees and radio calls.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
