JOB DESCRIPTION

Hosts have a variety of tasks but are primarily responsible for welcoming customers, seating them in their desired place, answering phone calls, taking carryout orders and handling payments. A formal education is not necessary. On-the-job training of our POS Systems, service standards and Menu is required. A food handler certificate is also required during initial training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Able to count units of money, weight, or otherwise.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information, respond to questions or concerns from guests, management and coworkers.
• Adheres to company policies and processes.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays based on business need.
• Proficiency in using all systems: POS, telephones, iPads, and pagers.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to work the shifts agreed with management upon hiring.
• May require long shifts, with extensive standing and walking.
• Able to go up and down stairs.
• Able to carry at least 2 plates, regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Able to perform simple grasping or squeezing, fine manipulation, overhead reaching, repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Able to bend, stoop or squat to grab lower shelf items or clean.
• Common visual function such as near vision and depth perception.
• Talking and hearing continuously in the process of communicating with customers and employees while in a moderate noise level environment.

JOB TYPES: Full-time, Part-time

EDUCATION: High school or equivalent (preferred); open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED

LICENSE: Food Handler (preferred)

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
