Office of U.S. Senator Gillibrand seeks a Hudson Valley Regional Director. Applicants must possess a strong knowledge of local issues across Westchester, Rockland and the Hudson Valley (Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster and Sullivan counties) and have the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Regional Director represents the Senator at civic and community meetings, advises the Senator and staff on local issues, directly supervises the work of a Regional Assistant and builds events for the Senator in the region. Qualified applicants will have experience in government and/or community outreach or media relations, excellent oral and written communications skills, knowledge of state and local government, and a motivation to help people. Applicants must also be self-motivated team players who are able to exercise discretion. Some evenings and weekends will be required. A minimum of 3 years work experience is preferred. This is primarily a remote work position, but regular travel to the New York City office is required. The candidate must reside in the Hudson Valley region (Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster or Sullivan counties).
