Mustang Creek Estates is looking for a ROCKSTAR HR Generalist to partner with our 5 DFW campuses. This individual is responsible for the oversight of employee relations, recruiting, team member engagement and compliance for the company. The ideal candidate is a go-getter and likes to be out in the field and building relationships. They will have experience in the senior living or healthcare industry.
Position Summary
Duties for the Human Resources Generalist will include: aligning staff to business objectives, recruiting the right talent, enhancing staff performance, supporting employee development, leading recruitment efforts, maintaining staff relations and updating policies and best practices. This position requires 100% local travel throughout DFW and minimum 3 years experience in HR.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and maintains a systematic and disciplined approach to HR responsibilities.
- Engaging and consulting with Campus Executive Directors and Administrative Assistants on a daily basis.

- Oversee Recruitment efforts at each location. Assist in interviewing, on-boarding, orientation and team member file compliance.
- Coordinates all orientation processes including new hire and general orientation.
- Provide guidance on matters of employee relations: investigations, coaching, progressive discipline, on-boarding and termination.
- Assist in developing HR Strategies that align with the business needs in regards to policies and best practices.
- Work with the ED to identify training needs and assist in the development of training initiatives for Leadership/Team Member on Campus.
- Maintains written job descriptions and performance evaluations for each staff position in accordance with the American Disabilities Act, OSHA, and other pertinent laws governing job positions.
- Monitor and respond to all UI claims. Including initial response, follow up and hearings.
- Processes on the job injuries and reports the data to Executive Director and Director of HR. Investigates all injuries. Prepares and posts annual OSHA logs.
- Monitors all team member HR files and certification/skill tracking. Assists with managing HRIS (ADP).
- Assists with the planning, communication and implementation of annual benefit open enrollment.
- Provides support to leadership team to include community events, in-service meetings, and other special events and projects.
- Assists with the campus AA role as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or related experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources Generalist role (required)
- Employee relations and recruiting experience required. Healthcare and Senior Living experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. This position will be on our campus locations most days and 1 day a week in our Plano Corporate Office.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking the primary language of the employees.
- Ability to use Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands and prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a confidential environment.
