WAGE: $65,000-$80,000 DOE
REPORTS TO: Director of Plumbing
SUPERVISES: N/A

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Plumbing, this position will maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures in customer’s homes and commercial businesses. The employee in this position will also be responsible for overseeing the training of the plumber apprentice(s) assigned to work with them each day. Must be a self-starter and motivated to learn and study the training material for the job. The individual in this position must keep up to date on new plumbing technologies offered by Water Doctor of Washington, Inc. and on current installation standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Install and repair pipes, fittings, valves, water heaters, faucets, fixtures, etc. in customer’s home, which may include crawling under the house or in other tight spaces.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and pressure test all pipes, fittings, and fixtures of water, drainage, and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
- Train plumber apprentice(s) assigned on job(s) each day.
- Ensure van is stocked with the needed equipment, supplies, and tools for each day’s assigned jobs.
- Verify customer details, including job specifications, prior to leaving the warehouse for the day’s assigned jobs.
- Maintain correct and complete paperwork for each job and ensure it is turned in on time.
- Maintains proper hygiene and dress code standards in accordance with HR Policy 210 – Employee Conduct.
- Assumes other duties as assigned during times of declared emergency or other unique, unusual, or unexpected circumstances.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Must be a high school graduate and possess a current PL01 OR PL02 certification with L&I. Maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license in good standing and be deemed insurable by our insurance provider and pass preemployment background screening and drug testing.
