Variety FoodServices is Michigan's largest family owned and operated food service business celebrating almost 100 years! We are looking for great people to join our family to help us prepare food for many local school children and businesses.

• Must have knife skills
• Be able to use or the ability to learn how to peel large fruit (ex. Cantaloupe, pineapple)
• Be able to use or the ability to learn how to cook in a tilt skillet

Control Micro Market & Vending Orders

• Ensure all orders are filled completely and accurately each day
• Ensure all paperwork for all orders is completed and turned in
• Ensure all orders are tagged properly and stored neatly
• Ensure all orders are provided with fresh products (nothing with less than 7 days should ship)

Control Inventory

• Daily walkthroughs of your Cooler/Freezer to keep track of expiration dates
• Prevent spoilage by communicating short dated (less than 30 days) items to your manager
• Daily walkthroughs of your Cooler/Freezer to keep track of inventory levels
• Prevent product run outs/keep inventory selection optimal by establishing inventory par levels
• Take inventory of your areas 1x per week, document and turn in to Keith
• Ensure all opened items/containers are dated with expiration dates

Control Micro Market Fresh Production

• Ensure consistent recipe adherence
• Ingredient type and size adherence
• Product display and labeling consistency
• Ensure consistent quality of items produced and ingredients used
• All products are quality inspected before shipment
• Ensure correct production amounts fulfilled
• Ensure all counts are documented and tracked/turned in
• Ensure production methods are productive and within projected times
• Create and/or help modify recipes for new/existing items
• Conduct time studies to evaluate item production efficiency
